What we do

  • Structural adequacy assessment of permanent and temporary grandstands to the Italian code NTC 2018
  • Periodic inspections of the state of preservation following UNI EN 13200 criteria
  • Non-destructive testing of bolted and welded joints: visual (VT), magnetic particle (MT) and ultrasonic (UT) examinations
  • Verification of railings, barriers and escape routes and of their resistance to horizontal actions

Methodology

Grandstands are largely bolted and welded steelwork: verification combines structural modelling to NTC 2018 with non-destructive testing of the connections, where the real weaknesses concentrate (loose bolts, cracks in welds, corrosion at joints). A geometric survey and condition assessment complete the picture, leading to a documented adequacy statement and any conditions of use.
